Bright Silicone Egg Poachers

Silicone Egg Poachers

These 4 silicone egg poachers are made from food grade silicone and they’ve definitely made cooking poached eggs a lot easier and you don’t even need to have a separate pan to do so. As a poached egg lover, I find these to be better than the DIY plastic wrap method, the vinegar in the water method, and having to purchase a whole pan with only one purpose.

In my opinion, one of the best tasting poached egg meals is an egg on a buttered piece of toast.  It is delicious.

Have you never cooked a poached egg before?  My only recommendation is that you spray them with a shot of cooking spray so that the eggs are more easily released. I put butter in mine and the eggs stuck.  Then, crack one egg into each of the silicone egg poachers.

Bring a pot of water to boil while you’re preparing the eggs.  Once it’s come to a boil, gently place each of the silicone egg poachers in the water and place a lid on the pot.  You’ll probably have to lower the heat on the pot to medium heat.

Cook the eggs for approximately 5 minutes; less if you don’t mind runny whites and more if you don’t like runny yolks.  Me, personally, I like cooked whites and runny yolks.  Lift the egg poachers out of the water with a large spoon or ladle and pop them on top of a piece of buttered toast.  These are so yum!

I really need to practice with these silicone egg poachers to get the cooking time correct, but all-in-all, I’m really pleased with these silicone egg poachers and my family and I are going to be eating a lot more poached eggs now that I have them.
