Are you Poise ‘d to Stay Dry?

Poise Thin-Shape pads

Are you Poise ‘d to Stay Dry?

In 2009, I had a total hysterectomy to combat endometriosis, which threw me into sudden menopause.  Little did I know that not only having a child, but a hysterectomy, menopause, and being overweight would all contribute to LBL.

What’s LBL?  It’s Light Bladder Leakage or little leaks that can be triggered by everyday occurrences.  Pretty much the bane of every woman who ever coughed, sneezed, laughed, jumped, or exercised.

One in three women experience LBL, which can be caused by such things as weak pelvic floor muscles, pregnancy, childbirth, and weight gain.  But, not every woman is alike, and there are other conditions such as complications from surgery, having a stroke, or chronic diseases like diabetes, multiple sclerosis (MS), or Parkinson’s disease, can also cause LBL.  Something as simple as a bladder or urinary tract infection or  bladder irritants, caused by certain foods and beverages, can cause those annoying little leaks.

I’ve spent the last 6 years dealing with my LBL by using period pads.  But, period pads are made for periods and not for LBL.  We deserve a better option for managing LBL with Poise. Whether we leak a little when laughing or when having a sudden urge to go, Poise gives us one less thing to worry about any time of day or night. Poise pads and liners are specifically designed for LBL, which makes them an easy choice for the 1-in-3 women with light bladder leaks.

You’ll feel fresher and more confident with Poise pads and liners, because they’re specifically designed for LBL.

Poise is designed to move with your body and features Super Absorbent Material (SAM) and a Thin-Flex design for extraordinary protection that’s still 3x drier than period pads* to help you take care of leaks with confidence. Designed to move with your body, the new Poise Thin-Shape pads are up to 40% thinner than the original Poise brand pads and are made specifically for bladder leaks with the same trusted absorbency of Poise brand.

Here’s what I did to recycle my period pads.  They’re inexpensive enough to make super-absorbent coasters for my water.  The sticky side helped to keep all of the plastic wrappers together.  I used the little pieces of tape to secure the plastic on the bottom side.
