True Beauty

I first saw Talia on the Ellen show.  If you haven’t seen it, check it out here:  Ellen Meets the Inspiring Talia.  If you aren’t touched by this little fireball, then you need to check your heart.  I started looking at her YouTube channel for really awesome makeup tips.  This Cover Girl really knows how to do some cool stuff with makeup.

Talia Castellano was diagnosed with stage 4 neuroblastoma on February 14, 2007. She was cancer free for 13 months but relapsed in Sept. 2008. She was cancer free for almost 2 years, but relapsed on August 13, 2010 and again for a third time on April 8, 2011.  In mid-2012 Talia’s cancer spread into her bone and she developed pre-leukemia. Talia died at age 13 on July 16, 2013.

When I was looking for a picture to use with this Bible quote, I was having a hard time finding just the right one and then I came across Talia’s picture.  She didn’t have hair to adorn and she wore very little makeup.  Frankly, she was just a little girl.  But, she had such a beautiful spirit and her beauty showed through her larger-than-life personality.

So, to honor her, I am using her beautiful picture.  My thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
