Happy Mother’s Day!

Today is the day to call up your Mom and wish her Happy Mother’s Day.  If you have a broken relationship with your mother, take the first step to restore what was once lost. Offer grace and mercy to a soul who needs it.  Forgive.

Your mother may not have been the best parent.  She probably made a lot of mistakes.  She may have even been abusive.  BUT, take the time to call her up and let her know you love her.

25 So stop telling lies. Let us tell our neighbors the truth, for we are all parts of the same body. 26 And “don’t sin by letting anger control you.” Don’t let the sun go down while you are still angry, 27 for anger gives a foothold to the devil.

28 If you are a thief, quit stealing. Instead, use your hands for good hard work, and then give generously to others in need. 29 Don’t use foul or abusive language. Let everything you say be good and helpful, so that your words will be an encouragement to those who hear them.

30 And do not bring sorrow to God’s Holy Spirit by the way you live. Remember, he has identified you as his own, guaranteeing that you will be saved on the day of redemption.  Ephesians 4:25-32

  1. Sometimes, Mothers are the people in your life who care. They care about every aspect of your without judgement. One can try and try again to make amends without acceptance but blame. Therefore, a woman who shows you truth, love, respect and acceptance can become the lost mother you wished you had had. Leaving you feeling full without need to try and heal the past. To hold your hand and help you move on to a life together, healed and not alone. I love you.

  2. Lovely post Sandy. My mum passed away nearly thirty years ago. I still miss her. Each year I run in the Mother’s Day run in her memory as she died from breast cancer
