People of the Second Chance has posted the next in their series Never Beyond. One would think that Rod Blagojevich would get it. He was found guilty and impeached due to his crooked political scheming, yet the guy keeps turning up like a bad penny. First, on stage in a show that made fun of him. Then rumors of him dancing with the stars. Talk about an audacious individual.
How are we any different in our behavior? We throw our actions in God’s face like He doesn’t even matter. Lying, stealing, cheating, or simply denying God the time He desires to have with us; to be in relationship with us. We show up for church in our Sunday best, listen for 1½ hours, and then leave to never give God another thought until the following Sunday.
But isn’t our God an awesome God? Even with our audacious behaviors, whether it be illegal, immoral, selfish, or just plain reckless, He welcomes us back into His loving arms with an audacious love.
