Good News from Japan!

My friend, Woody Whitley, posted this note yesterday from Japan.  Praise God they and their family are safe!  Please continue to pray for our friends and the people of Japan.  Please consider donating to a reputable disaster relief agency such as the Red Cross.  You can text REDCROSS to 90999 to give $10 to the Japan Earthquake & Pacific tsunami relief effort.

Update from Japan

by Woody Whitley on Thursday, March 17, 2011 at 9:38pm

Good morning to everyone,

We are back in our apartment in OOGAWARA.  We have water and power again and are doing fine.  We still have aftershocks every night. We have been sleeping in our street cloths in fear of the need to move quickly.  Food and gasoline are limited, and there are long lines when available.  Many areas still do not have running water.  Please pray for supernatural intervention to the nuclear power plant.  Also when the existing food and gasoline are gone, the real struggle starts.  Most companies are closed for business and therefore, not productive. Japan needs help now!

We praise the Lord for our protection, but it doesn’t feel right to just sit and do nothing.

We are contacting our local churches to see how we can help.

Your prayers are needed and cherished.

Grace and Peace to you from Japan,

Shigeko & Woody

PS:  We will not be evacuating!
