Merry Christmas!

Luke 2:8 That night there were shepherds staying in the fields nearby, guarding their flocks of sheep. 9 Suddenly, an angel of the Lord appeared among them, and the radiance of the Lord’s glory surrounded them. They were terrified, 10 but the angel reassured them. “Don’t be afraid!” he said. “I bring you good news that will bring great joy to all people. 11 The Savior—yes, the Messiah, the Lord—has been born today in Bethlehem, the city of David! 12 And you will recognize him by this sign: You will find a baby wrapped snugly in strips of cloth, lying in a manger.”  13 Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God and saying, 14 “Glory to God in highest heaven, and peace on earth to those with whom God is pleased.”

I wanted to wish every a wonderful Merry Christmas.  Remember the reason for the season is that we celebrate the birth of the Messiah.  The one who was promised to come many hundreds of years before.  The one who fulfilled hundreds of prophecies given in the Old Testament.  The one who’s blood sacrifice on the cross for us paid the price for our sins, redeemed our very souls, and allows us to spend eternity in Heaven seated at the Heavenly throne ruling and reigning as kings and priests.

Christmas is about a gift offered to you.  A free gift of God, not obtained by good works so that no one can boast.  All you have to do is accept it by faith.  Believing in heart.  By allowing Jesus to be Lord of your life, by living according to His Word (the Bible), you can have to greatest gift ever given.  You can know the blessings of God in your life, your family, your finances, in everything that you do.  Ephesians 3:20 says, “Now all glory to God, who is able, through his mighty power at work within us, to accomplish infinitely more than we might ask or think.”  His desire for you is a trillion times better than you can even imagine.  Let Him be the Lord of your life and join with me in sharing in a wondrous peace, love, and true life that is the gift of God.  Merry Christmas!
