Book Review: The Lilychild by Dr. John & Susan Thompson

I was privileged to be asked by Dr. John & Susan Thompson to proof read their book, “The Lilychild” and I wanted to share my review.

The Lilychild is a story of the rabbi, Jairus, and his daughter, who share a special relationship. Based on the story found in the Bible in Mark 5:21-43, Matthew 9:18-26, and Luke 8:40-56.  A precious story of their love for each other, the trials of their lives, and the joy of meeting their Savior. Her growing up, coming into maturity, and preparing for marriage.  His dealings with the temple leaders, and his going to Jesus, who was in the midst of his earthly ministry, to request the healing of his beloved daughter. A lovely story for teens, young adults, parents, and grandparents. A highly recommended and heartwarming look at the first days of Jesus’ ministry and it’s transforming power.
